  Service is amazing, staff is very attentive. The atmosphere is good too. I really like how the restaurant looks. The food is good however is very expensive for what you get. One of my party ordered the Peking Duck as an entree and for $28 we were expecting something a hell of alot larger than the 3 small parcels that arrived. My pork belly was delicious but I don't really rate the chicken and black bean. Not very generous portion sizes on most meals which is ok but I feel they charge far too much for what you get.

  Had the bamboo banquet. Could not fault the food - very special and delicious. Portions perfect, definitely very satisfied. Unbelievable Angus beef! Wine list was formidable, with prices to match. Service was friendly and unpretentious.

  Yum Cha lunch service, well it's still the best yum cha in Hobart, not as good as it used to be, but given the lack of competition I guess beggers can't be choosers. They still put on a pretty decent spread, but some of the care and joy of the place seems to have waned a touch over the years. 7/10

  Evening Al la carte is sensational, impeccable service with genuine care to all aspects from seating, drinks service, to food presentation and preparation, it's all top notch and a very enjoyable experience. The service level is very high yet humble and understated at the same time. 10/10

  I've eaten here more times than I can count as it's our favourite Chinese restaurant in the world (which is saying something as I'm from a Chinese background). I've ordered a-la-carte as well as trying all of their degustation menus. Stephen is an excellent host and request is to big, and no detail is too small, for him to do his best to accommodate. This restaurant has the best dumplings I've ever eaten, even after a two-week holiday in China, as well as the most impressive wine list. Superb, every single time.
